MLM Marketing Basics

 

So, you're thinking about joining an MLM marketing business, or perhaps you're already in one. Well, there are definitely a few basics that everybody in the MLM marketing, network marketing, and direct sales must follow. The first one is to never give up too fast. What I always recommend to my team members is to first talk to family and friends about their new endeavor. However, I do not want them to convince their them to join. I want them to tell their family and friends in order to cover their butts. Because, I know, when they are successful, they will come back to them and say, "Why didn't you tell me?" If they decide to join their business, awesome! But, if not, I do not want my team members to be distracted by this. I have found that people you know do not believe that you know something, unless you have proven it over time.

 

So, after you talk to your family and friends, it is important to decide how you are going to market your business. A lot of uplines teach their team members to market one of two ways. They say to either use the "old school" network marketing strategies (which includes using this 3 foot rule), or they suggest doing online marketing. I always recommend to my team members that they do both online marketing and in person marketing, but that they focus on which ever they are better at.

 

I tell my team members to devote time to the marketing that they're the best and that he and also devote time to learn the other type of marketing. For example, I find out somebody in my team is very outgoing and sociable. I tell him to spend as much time as he can out in the streets meeting and talking to new people about his business. But, I know as well as you do that there are a lot of hours in a day when it's inappropriate to contact people about your business (for examples 3:00 a.m.). I then said suggest to these people, that when they are not just hours in about meeting and talking to new people that they devote time at home, or in the library, or wherever they must, to learn online marketing. This is because online marketing is the huge part of the game today. Even if these people introduce their business to somebody in the streets, get their information, and set up an appointment, the person that they are talking to will probably go home (if they're serious) and do research on the business. This may lead them to signing up with somebody online, because "they like them better."

 

MLM marketing definitely takes time to learn. However, I always suggest to my team member is that they start doing things that they're good at, and then learn new things that they need improvement on. This will lead to the most success in their business.
