Affiliate Programs That are Hard to Ignore
Ever wish that everyone that clicked on your affiliate link bought what you were selling? If there was a world record conversion what would it be? 1:1?
This should be possible. In fact, it is possible. Some niches are perfect solutions to a problem that a lot of people are having. These are the best types of niches to get involved in. Some other niches provide something that people spend all of their time on, or need to survive.
The next time you find an affiliate program that promises you the world, think to yourself; Do people really need this? Do they really want this more than things they need?
When you see a product that gets tons of traffic, you should ask yourself if the traffic really needs this to survive or needs it to solve a very serious problem. If it doesn't, then that large amount of traffic might not do anything for you at all.
On the other hand, if you are getting into something that solves peoples problems and no one is promoting it, this product might look like it has great potential, but if this problem is something that only 30 people a year need, the program better award $100,000 commissions.
In other words, you need the traffic, the desperation, and the reasonable competition.
1. Make sure that people really need the product, and not just "want it." Most "Wants" come free elsewhere anyway.
2. Make sure you have some traffic for this niche
3. Make sure that the first page of search results for organic listings isn't 80% PR7 websites and $1.50 clicks with PPC.
A product should have a least four 5-digit traffic keywords for big profits. You should be able to leverage these keywords to make at least 1,000 a week. The product should also have low cost competition to allow a healthy return on investment.
The affiliate program should set you up and help you with anything you need, but it makes no sense whatsoever to get involved with a huge niche that just isn't very important to a lot of people. People need to eat, solve their problems and feed their hobbies.
It is also a good Idea to provide multiple solutions to one problem people are having.
For instance, you could make a website for insomnia and sell alarm clocks, relaxing music, sleeping pills, audio hypnosis tapes and so on.
For dating you could sell memberships to a dating site, and handbooks on how to win more dates. Make sure that the niche is desperate!
Once you get the hang of it, you'll thank me. It makes much more sense to monetize off something that has big potential in smaller numbers. A paying customer can be a repeat customer, a non-paying visitor is useless. If you want to get started kicking some real butt in affiliate marketing, I recommend promoting BigBillions affiliate programs that are hard to ignore.
